Warranty Conditions

General

Duration of the contractual warranty applicable to the products is specified in each offer/product sheet. Warranty terms applicable are based on the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Warranty Scope
Warranty covers hardware technical aspects of the purchased product for 1 year.
Products sold must be in conformity with its description and fit for purpose, following Consumer Rights Act guides.
Specific product’s lack of functionality made clear to Buyer in the offers are not scope of warranty terms.
Warranty initiate on the date of purchase for the period stipulated to the product, and can be extended in case of repair or replacement.
In the advent of replacement, warranty period is at least 3 months in case remaining warranty is less than it. When at the time of repair or replacement warranty remaining period is longer than 3 months, it will be unaffected. In the advent of a repair with parts replaced, warranty extension (3 months) is applied to this specific part.
To exercise its right of warranty, customer must within a valid warranty period, contact by written email to site@daroan.com or in our customer return page, reporting the claim.

Warranty Procedures
After opening a claim, our team will contact you to determine the best way for a solution. Sometimes a remote solution can be applied. If not, a product return process will be initiated.

When a product return is necessary, pictures of the product will be requested and a return slip will be provided to Buyer with all shipment instructions.
It is important to follow all shipping instructions, especially those related to safe packaging.
Transport damages caused by lack of safe packaging may void the warranty.
The return slip needs to be used within max 14 days, otherwise a new ticket claim will need to be open.
Customers needs to use return slips provided by DaRoAn. No reimbursement will apply when Buyer uses a different provided for the return.

After arrival, product will suffer an standard inspection, and issues reported will be checked.
As a rule, product will be repaired. If the issue is not repairable, a replacement will be arranged. This replacement must have same (or better/higher) conditions/specifications as the purchased unit.
If a repair is not possible, and no replacement units are available, a full reimbursement of the payment will be issued to Buyer, and defective product will be kept.
Product repaired/replaced will be returned to Buyer at the same address registered in the purchase.

Warranty application and exclusions
A premise for a valid warranty is the proper use and maintenance of the product as well as the adherence to the user instructions as stated in the manual of the manufacturer. In case of irresponsible, irregular or improper use, the warranty is voided.

Are example of improper / irresponsible use:
- water/liquid damage;
- broken/damage parts caused by negligence or lack of maintenance of the product by the Buyer physical impact;
- electrical damages caused by these of improper accessories;
- malfunction caused but the download and/or installation of softwares not approved by manufacturer’s device;
- improper activation;
- careless and faulty maintenance;

Warranty are explicit voided when:
- warranty labels are total or partially removed/destroyed;
- damage caused by evident improper use;
- damage caused by accident (i.e. fall)
- device is opened and/or repaired by third parties other than DaRoAn partners;
- damage caused by the environment or acts of nature (i.e. natural disasters), including but not limited to flooding, fire or frost;
- damage caused by assembly / installation or transport;
- damage due to faulty operation of the product, damage caused by the environment, chemicals or cleaning fluids.

Scope of warranty is not valid for:
- expandable parts, such memory cards orcas for cameras or lenses;
- consumable items, as batteries, when they remain within standards/specifications expected);
- slight discrepancies between the actual condition and the nominal condition of the product that do not affect functionality.
- damage associated with normal tear and wear;

When a product is returned and inspection procedures concludes for an warranty exclusion, customer will be notified and product will be returned without repair.

All communication made between DaRoAn and the Buyer must be made in written through customer return page or by email to site@daroan.com or in our customer return page. Verbal / phone communication won’t be considerate.
